Race: Youth Triathlon. Ages 5 – 8 compete in 50 yard swim, 2 mile bike, & .75 mile run. Ages 9 – 15 compete in 150 yard swim, 4 mile bike, & 1.5 mile run. Click Here to view course! (bike course will change slightly in 2008)
Date/Location: September 13th, 2008 - 8:30am Midlothian, VA – WSRC - Woodlake Community (date moved forward 1 week to deconflict with local NASCAR event) (must be set-up in the transition area by 8:00am)
Age: Child must be between the ages of 5-15.
Divisions: Boy: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15; Girls: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15
Awards/Giveaways: Medals are given for the top 3 finishers in each division. All participants receive event giveaway & cool sponsor giveaways. Some great random prizes can be won by anyone after the awards ceremony. Must be present to receive the prize.
Registration Fee: $35 through September 12th; $40 Race Day, September 13th Fee includes-t-shirt, ribbon, giveaways, & clinic.

Sanctioning: I am using a new annual policy with McKay Insurance to cover all racing events & programs. Therefore, this year you will NOT need to purchase a $5 USAT annual membership.

Event Address: Woodlake Swim & Racquet Club - 5000 Woodlake Village Pkwy
Directions to Event: From Interstate I288. Take the Hull Street West Exit, Rt. 360 W, and travel about 5 miles. The Woodlake Community will be on your right. Turn right at the Woodlake Community sign. Travel about 1/3 mile and take left onto Woodlake Village Parkway. The Woodlake Swim & Racquet Club will be on your right. (Woodlake Village Parkway is the main street that loops through the neighborhood. So you will take a left onto Woodlake Village Pkwy from Woodlake Village Parkway. If you don't, the WSRC will eventually appear on your left)
Course: The Swim will take place in a pool and participants will be assigned to Heats & Lanes. The Bike & Run will be on neighborhood streets & trails. Bike Course will change slightly in 2008.
Packet Pick-up : RACE DAY ONLY - Saturday, September 12th, 7:00-8:00 am . Transition Area Set-up: Must have transition area set-up by 8:00 am .
VOLUNTEERS! In order to make each event a success we need dedicated volunteers to assist with set-up, course marshalling, timing, and tear-down. Breakfast, Coffee, and a thank you package will be provided for the volunteer crew. Your support will contribute to improving the health and shaping the character of participating children. Natural Disaster Policy: For extreme situations only, the Race Director, along with local authorities, can cancel event if extreme weather or other serious threats prevent participation. Decisions will be based on SAFETY FIRST. The final decision will be made on race day. Due to the substantial up front costs required to put on the event, there will be no refunds. We will make an effort to reschedule the event, but cannot promise when or if that will occur. Each team needs to accept this risk of their entry fee.
