The transition area is the place where the athlete transitions between the swim & bike then bike & run. Upon completion of the swim the athlete moves directly to the transition area to put on shoes, bike helmet, and to get their bikes. Upon completion of the bike, the athlete goes back to their area in the transition area to drop off the bike and helmet and to prepare for the run.  All transition occurs in the transition area so it is important that you have all the equipment you need for the bike and run.
